FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How can we help?

Do you accept my health insurance?

Relative Motion Chiropractic is an out-of-network chiropractic clinic. This means we do not accept any health insurance. Health insurances severely limit the type of care a provider is able to provide. They also limit the number of visits their patients get.  The problem with health insurance dictating your care means that you might not get the care, treatment, or number of visits that are needed to positively impact your condition, long term. Most of the time our prices are similar to what your copay would be and, if you haven't yet met your deductible, cheaper than your out-of-pocket cost!

Do you accept HSA or FSA?

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) are both able to be used at Relative Motion Chiropractic. The money in both of these accounts is to be spent on qualifying health care services such as what we offer.

Do I need a doctor's referral?

A referral from your doctor is not needed in order to see your chiropractor because we are portal-of-entry doctors. Your chiropractor is trained in all areas of the human body including but not limited to your: eyes, ears, organ systems, and yes, even your back! Chiropractors are able to order things such as blood work or any imaging that may be needed for classification or treatment of your specific condition.

Do you take X-rays?

No, we do not perform x-rays in our office. During school, chiropractors do become qualified to take x-rays. They must learn the mechanics behind x-rays, how to take x-rays, and how to read and interpret the findings.  There are additional years of training a chiropractor can undergo to become a DACBR (Diplomate, American Chiropractic Board of Radiology or Chiropractic Radiologist) or one may go to medical school to become a radiologist. I leave any imaging opportunities and imaging interpretations up to the DACBR's and Radiologist to make sure your images get read appropriately and accurately. If there is need, I will refer you out to an imaging facility who performs and is liable for x-rays, MRI's, or diagnostic ultrasounds (which ever you may need).
